Samsung Galaxy S10 Review- The African View

Samsung introduced the first Galaxy smartphone 10 years ago. This year marks the tenth edition of the phone, with the Galaxy S10, which aims to be the flagship of the company and comes in three different models: S10, S10 + and S10e.

highlighted below is a comprehensive review of this excellent smartphone from Samsung

One of the main improvements of the Galaxy S10 is the Dynamic AMOLED Infinity-O screen. It is the first screen that receives the HDR10 + certification, which translates into a great output of the image and colour. This makes it ideal for viewing all kinds of multimedia content.

The screen also has a great ratio (93.1% in S10 and S10 + and 91.6% in S10e) thanks to the perforation in which the front camera is located, called Infinity-O. The screen also reduces the amount of blue light thanks to Eye Comfort technology without the need to apply a filter.

The measurements on the screen are 6.1 inches for S10, 6.4 inches for S10 + and 5.8 inches for S10e.

Finally, beneath the screen, there is an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, which reads fingerprints in a three-dimensional manner, which offers greater security against attempts to impersonate.

The S10 and S10 + versions have a triple rear camera (12 MP telephoto lens, 12 MP wide angle and 16 MP ultra wide angle), while the S10e version has only two lenses, as it sacrifices the telephoto lens.

The three models have a wide-angle lens with a field of view of 123 degrees, which is similar to the human eye, something we have seen in other phones of the Korean brand.

As for the front cameras, the S10 + has two lenses of 10 and 8 MP, one of them dedicated to portrait mode, and the other two versions incorporate a single lens of 10 MP.

Processor and Storage Capacity

The three Galaxy S10 models have an 8nm 64-bit Octa-core processor (Max 2.7 GHz + 2.3 GHz + 1.9 GHz). RAM varies between models. The S10 carries 8GB, the S10 + can be chosen with 8 or 12 GB and the S10e with 6 or 8GB.

As for internal storage, the lowest option is 128 GB in the S10e and the highest option is 1 TB in the S10 +.

One of the newest features is the Wireless PowerShare system, which turns the phone into a wireless charging station for compatible devices.

The battery capacity is 3,400 mAh for S10, 4,100 mAh for S10 + and 3,100 mAh for S10e.

Samsung S10 is also Samsung’s first smartphone with 5G connectivity, which is unique as when operators start offering this type of coverage, the S10 would be one of the first phones that would be able to access this new technology.

Availability and price

The three versions of the Samsung Galaxy S10 come with a price of 779 euros for the S10e version, 929 euros for the standard S10 and 1,179 euros for the S10 plus.

Samsung once again showed that it is the king of Android devices with this beautiful and powerful masterpiece albeit at an expensive price. Nevertheless, the S10 reigns supreme and we expect rivals to bring their A game if they are to have any chance of surpassing the Korean giant’s flagship phone
